| Description : | The project is the new high speed rail way connecting between Mecca & Medina with around 450 kilometers. The rail way shall have 4 main substations at Mecca, Medina, Jeddah & King Abdullah Economic City.
The rail line is planned to provide a safe and comfortable transport in 320 kilometers per hour (200 mph) electric trains. The railway is expected to carry three million passengers a year, including many Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, helping to relieve traffic congestion on the roads. The total connected power for Mecca station is around 16MVA with 2 substations & 13.8kV network in addition to connection with the auxiliary buildings surrounding the station (Car Park, Helipad & Mosque). |
