Description : Terminal 2 was demolished & a complete new construction of the new terminal is ongoing adding to the existing terminals 1 & 3 of Cairo Airport. The project is funded by 65% from World Bank & 35% from the Egyptian Government with a total budget of 600 million US dollars.

The project was awarded to the Turkish airport construction company LIMAK through an international bid. The project is around 300000 m2 with built up area of around 170000 m2 consisting of terminal departure building, arrival building & 1 finger together with other ancillary service buildings like power plant.

The project consists of 5 electrical substations connected on 5 medium voltage loops backed with emergency generating diesel sets. The total connected power of the project is around 40MVA. Complete power management & building management systems shall be installed to manage the operation of all systems inside the airport terminal.

Latest & up to date technology is applied for all systems networks where a complete LAN backbone system is used to which all telecommunication systems are connected as well as Building Automation System.

The project comprises all apron area design as well as all taxiway & related infrastructure works including the installation of all Airfield Lighting together with all its related transformers & CCRs, Stand Identification devices & Visual Docking Guidance Signs.

Scope of work: Work Shop Drawings for all Electrical Works.
